A mini potion kit that makes a real lava-lamp effect appear in your hands, no electricity required. Pick a mica colour — blue or gold — and mix it into half the Lava Liquid in the beaker. Pour it into a Liquid Elixir tube, flip it over, and watch the colour break into slow, wobbling blobs that rise and fall, just like a real lava lamp. - A real density reaction, not a toy imitation - Two tubes, two colours, one lava tube in blue, a second in gold, from the same kit - Comes with two test tubes, a beaker and a wooden stirrer, ready to mix - Non-toxic ingredients, easy clean-up, wipes off, hands-on and mesmerising Top tip: the mica shimmer works again and again, top up with a small bottle of glycerine and castor oil (easy to find at a pharmacy) to keep the lava effect going once the included liquid runs out A little bit of science, a little bit of mesmerising, the kind of gift a kid keeps flipping over long after it's unwrapped. No two flips look the same. That's the good bit. Ages 5-7yr
