Build a working model of the solar system and discover how our planets move with the **Smartivity Gear-Driven Solar System** STEM Construction Kit. Children can assemble an impressive mechanical model featuring planets that rotate and orbit around the sun using an interconnected gear system. Once complete, simply operate the mechanism and watch the solar system come to life. The hands-on building process introduces young learners to astronomy, planetary motion, gears, rotational movement and basic mechanical engineering. It also develops problem-solving, concentration, spatial reasoning and fine motor skills while encouraging curiosity about space and science. Made from precision-engineered wooden components and requiring no batteries, this engaging kit provides a rewarding screen-free building experience. The completed solar system also makes an impressive educational display for a bedroom, playroom or classroom. Features: Build-your-own working solar system model Gear-driven mechanism makes the planets rotate and orbit Introduces astronomy, planetary motion and mechanical engineering Encourages problem-solving, concentration and logical thinking Precision-engineered wooden construction pieces Engaging battery-free and screen-free activity Ideal for children interested in space, science and construction Suitable for children aged 8 years and over
